Ctomed uses exclusively high-grade steels as per DIN standard to manufacture its instruments.

 

How Ctomed instruments are passivated?

All Ctomed instruments are passivated. Passivation is an additional treatment to the surface of instruments after final finishing. The use of special passivation fluid provides an additional layer of protection on the surface of the instrument to prevent corrosion and rust.

Ctomed also sells its products through authorized distributors you can contact the authorized distributor of your country.

How long does it take for you to get back to us with a quote?

Depending on the complexity of the project, Generally, it takes 1 to 3 working days to give a quote. For projects that include the research element of data complying it take anywhere from 48 hours to 1 week.

What is the minimum quantity I can order?

We appreciate all opportunities to serve the needs of our customers. There is no minimum quantity you have to order. You can purchase only 1 item if that is all you require. However, you should consider the costs such as those for international shipping, money transfers fees etc.

You can search for a product by name, description or product code using our online catalogue and search function. You can also check specific product discipline to find a detailed listing of the instruments available for that specialty.

What if I can't find the particular instrument on your website?

No problem. There are tens of thousands of different surgical instruments in today’s demanding medical market, so it is difficult to have them all in our website’s catalogue. Most likely we either have it in our warehouse or we can manufacture it in a couple of weeks. Just submit any item information you have (item number, manufacturer, pattern name, specifications, pictures etc.) at info@ctomed.com and we will quote you a price and lead-time for that item.

What if you don’t have a product I am looking for?

If you can’t find a similar product in our product range you can contact us and we can provide you with an alternative product to meet your needs.

Can I place a Purchase order with an item code of any other Company?

Yes, we maintain a cross-reference of catalogue number, for many famous surgical instrument companies, which are equivalents to our products. Give us any catalogue number and its picture reference rest will be handle by us.

Can you modify an existing surgical instrument or manufacture a custom surgical instrument?

Yes, modifications to existing surgical instruments are quite common. The custom product solutions process is very straightforward. We have an expert engineering staff at our factory who can discuss and help design custom instruments and everything involved in producing exactly what you need.

First, you would contact us to share your specific design requirements or relativeness to one of our products or any other company products. After studying feasibility, we will provide you with a quote for the design and delivery of the instrument. Once the engineered technical drawing finalizes, we can follow the regular manufacturing process. We would also allot special article numbers to customs products for further reference and order placing.

Does Ctomed offer private labeling/OEM?

Can I mark my brand name or specific product code stamped on the instruments?

Yes, we also offer laser mark instruments upon request. You have to provide us your design file and detail.

How long will I have to wait for my shipment?

Although it is our policy to try to dispatch all orders as soon as possible. Products available in our stock will be dispatched within 15 days. You will be notified of any items that are not available in stock at the time of your order. These items will be sent to you, as soon as they get manufacture.

What are typical manufacturing lead-times?

The company is constantly investing to accelerate lead times. Right now, the lead time is 4 to 8 weeks for production.

How do I cancel an order or item from my order?

You have to contact us by email or call to arrange for your purchase to be altered.

What is your return policy?

Customers satisfied customers are our top priority. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any of our products or simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. you may request a refund or exchange. Your request gets approve after our due consideration and we will help you to find a suitable solution for your needs. Time limitation is 30 days from the date of delivery. Once a surgical instrument has been sterilized, it cannot be returned for a refund, so please make sure before sterilization every new surgical instrument. All instruments in our extensive product range are of the highest quality and standard. Ctomed Surgical instruments are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. How do I return a surgical instrument for repair?

Do you offer repair and sharpening services for used instruments or instruments of any other company?

Yes, we have an expert staff that is professionally trained in the fine art of repairs, adjustments, modifications and sharpening. They will evaluate and advise the proper repairs needed before any work performed. Most repairs can be completed and returned in less than 15 days for a reasonable cost. We will always inform if an item is uneconomical to repair and offer special pricing for replacements.

Is there a difference between reprocessing instruments made from stainless steel compared to those made from aluminum?

Yes, there is a significant difference in the cleaning and reprocessing of instruments made from stainless steel or aluminum. Aluminum instruments are specially anodized. Special care needs to be exercised in the cleaning of aluminum instruments only non-alkaline, neutral cleaning agents may be used in combination with fully demineralized water to avoid damages.
